Cure papillomas: remedies for their removal

Papilloma on a woman's neck

Papillomas are benign neoplasms localized on the surface of the skin and mucous membranes and have a papillary growth located on a thin "leg". This disease is associated with the human papilloma virus. The resulting papillomas can be injured, painful and cause external defects. In this case, a natural question arises about their removal. Below we will talk about drugs to remove papillomas.

The human papillomavirus is far from being a harmless member of the viral flora. It not only causes the formation of papillomas and warts, but sometimes this pathogen causes the development of malignant tumors, especially cervical cancer. In 2019, scientists published a work in which it was found that the population has low awareness of the human papilloma virus, its transmission routes, consequences and prevention measures.

Local medicine

Use of local drugs to remove papilloma

First, let's look at drugs specifically designed to remove papillomas. We emphasize that you should consult a specialist before using them.

The first medication is a liquid for external use, which contains two components - metacresol and phenol. It should be applied with a special stick to the affected skin areas or mucous membranes, avoiding contact with adjacent skin areas. A single application is usually sufficient for small papillomas, larger ones may require repeated application (3-4 times) with an interval of several minutes.

How does this remedy work? The components included in the solution cause coagulation of skin proteins, as a result of which the papillomas disappear.

Another commonly used preparation is a liquid made from sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, and sodium hydroxide. It also has a cauterizing effect, which allows you to effectively remove not only papillomas, but also warts, genital warts, etc.

In addition, a solution containing:

  • nitric acid;
  • acetic acid;
  • lactic acid;
  • oxalic acid dihydrate;
  • copper nitrate trihydrate.

It belongs to local necrotizing drugs, contributes to the destruction of pathologically changed tissues. This product is also applied directly to the affected area. If necessary, the treatment is repeated several times.

Systemic therapy

To effectively fight papillomas, only local medications are not enough. To prevent recurrence, systemic therapy should be carried out, that is, drugs with antiviral and immunomodulatory effects should be used.

An example is inosine acedobene dimepranol. This drug is active against the human papillomavirus, helps suppress it in the body, and has an immunostimulating effect.

Once again, we emphasize that you should consult a specialist before using any medication.
